What barry does, straight up
Diagnostics, week-by-week plans, practice and flashcards with spaced review, study rooms with your classmates, and human tutors when you want a real person.
✓ Free during beta · no credit card requiredDiagnostics & study plans
Tell barry your course and exam date. A short diagnostic finds the gaps, and barry builds a week-by-week plan around your syllabus and deadlines. As you improve, the plan rebalances.
Start where you are
Five minutes in, you know exactly what to study first.
Ask anything
Plain English in, plain English out. No commands to learn.
Practice & quizzes
Fresh problems at your level with instant feedback. Misses get explained instead of skipped, and the difficulty rises as you improve.
Flashcards with spaced review
Turn any lesson into a deck. barry schedules each card to come back just before you'd forget it, so weak topics get more reps and mastered ones go quiet.
Study rooms & shared notes
One room for your class: notes, syllabus, and progress together. The activity feed shows who's keeping up.
Human tutors
Book a real tutor for the hard stuff. Sessions are scheduled around your study plan, not instead of it.
Progress tracking
One number per course, built from a formula you can see: flashcard recall, skill mastery, practice-test scores, coverage, and consistency. Weak topics get flagged for review.
Private by default
Your conversations stay private to your account. We never sell your data, and inputs aren't used for model training without your explicit consent. Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
The parts of barry that do the real work
None of these are promises. They're shipped features you can use today.
Syllabus timelines
Each course maps its syllabus to a week-by-week timeline: what's covered, what's current, and what's due for review. You always know where you are.
Progress you can read
One number per course, built from a formula you can see: flashcard recall (30%), skill mastery (25%), practice scores (25%), coverage (10%), consistency (10%). Up to three weak topics get flagged for review, with a 7-day forecast of what's due.
For parents
Parents link to your account by code, approve the link themselves, and choose what they can see. The weekly digest covers study minutes, streak, and review activity. Nothing automatic, nothing hidden.
For teachers
Class dashboards, rosters, and analytics per student. Assignments with grading, plus flags that surface when a student is falling behind. Built for classrooms, not just solo study.
What barry is right now
We're in public beta. We'd rather be honest than polished.
